Chrystia Freeland’s grandfather was a Nazi propagandist, a fact she tried to hide from the public.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Canada has close family ties to the Nazis. Freeland knew for over two decades that her Ukrainian grandfather was the editor of a Nazi propaganda rag in occupied Poland. The paper was extremely anti-Semitic; it vilified Jewish people.

When the allegations first came to light, Freeland lied to Canadians, stating it was “Russian disinformation.” However, the claims proved to be accurate, and have been corroborated by multiple outlets including the Globe and Mail.

Michael Chomiak, Freeland’s grandfather, wrote for the outlet Krakivski Visti aka Krakow News. The operation used printing presses and offices stolen from a Jewish publisher. The Jewish publisher was later murdered at the Belzec concentration camp.

Ms. Freeland has been an outspoken critic of Russia’s annexation of Crimea, and the recent war in Ukraine.
